The Citation Reference System is the US Forest Service Fire Sciences Lab in-house bibliographic management database tool supporting the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS) . All FEIS citation references are stored in this database, have been read for fire research and management content, and have been assigned keywords according to species, location, and other content characteristics.

While the purpose of CRS3 is specifically for FEIS development, and not for general public access, you are welcome to the archive for author, year, title, source, and keyword patterns, and generate ANSI standard bibliographic listings of your search results in either HTML or PDF format.

If you wish to search by keyword, you can first download a list of the more than 20 thousand keywords in either PDF (about 350 pages) or Excel CSV format. .
